After a successful 2018 field season, Borealis is pleased to announce that as of March 4th, 2019, it has received approval from Kitselas Development Corporation to proceed with the remaining fieldwork required to delineate the Lakelse geothermal opportunity.
These activities are underway and Borealis anticipates further positive announcements as it progresses to the final investment decision.
optimized geothermal Exploration (OGE) Developing Predictive capability
Borealis is pleased to announce that at 2 OGE deployments in the 2018 field season, OGE identified otherwise ‘hidden’ geothermal features. Further, in one of the cases, OGE also added some predictive capability, in suggesting the location of a geothermal feature, which was later confirmed to be a newly discovered hot spring.
We look forward to more detailed OGE ‘ground truthing’ through the 2019 field season, building on the initial predictive capacity, with an eye to automating significant components of the system as we progress into 2020.
