In conjunction with the CanGEA's recent news announcement of the release of the Canadian Geothermal Code for Public Reporting, Borealis GeoPower is pleased to announce that we are one of the few companies in Canada qualified to analyze and assess geothermal energy resources according to the standards of this new code. The code provides a minimum set of requirements for the public reporting of Exploration Results, Geothermal Resources and Geothermal Reserves. After a recent Request for Proposal (RFP), Borealis GeoPower was awarded the contract to conduct a preliminary geothermal energy assessment of the Quesnel, BC area. Borealis GeoPower's Tim Thompson and Craig Dunn were recently involved in the completion of "Geothermal Energy Global Best Practices". The research paper included the review of 7 countries, including Canada, and compared and contrasted the success of different geothermal energy policies to provide best practices recommendations for the Canadian Geothermal Industry.
